About Jennifer M. Ramos
|
| I have been
shooting with a Canon 30D for the past five years. I just added a 5D Mark
II to my arsenal, along with a few different lenses. I specialize in
urban decay (as well as rural decay) and environmental portraiture. I enjoy
photographing subjects in natural light, in surroundings that express who
they are and where they are most comfortable.
I do not have a photography degree. I
took a photojournalism class at the University of North Texas, where I
shot black and white film with my Canon AE-1 Program. I went on to
graduate from the University of Texas with a degree in Sociology. I never
stopped shooting and I never stopped seeking the stories in the everyday
details.
I grew up in Garland, Texas, just a mile
or so outside of Dallas. I currently make my home in Austin, Texas.
